Rotor wheel of a turbomachine

The rotor wheel has disk carrying blades (16) including roots engaged and held in an annular recess (20) in an outer peripheral surface of the disk. The roots are designed to co-operate with an annular sealing gasket (54) mounted on an annular groove (52) of the outer peripheral surface of the disk. The annular gasket exerts a resilient force on blade platforms (44) holding the blades in a proper position for operation when the gasket is in rest state. The annular gasket has an outside diameter greater than that of the mounting groove of gasket, in the free state. An independent claim is also included for an annular sealing gasket for a rotor wheel.
