The invention relates to a depth stop 7, which is formed to be fastened to a screwdriver 6 in a detachable manner, in particular an electric screwdriver with battery and/or mains supply, and which is formed such that a desired screw-in depth can be predetermined. A detent means 13 comprises at least one indexing plate 5 which is disposed between an adjusting ring 2 and a stop 3. This arrangement enables a set screw-in depth to be retained after the depth stop 7 has been separated from the screwdriver 6. The adjusting ring 2 and the stop 3 are preferably adjustably connected to enable the screw-in depth to be adjusted. The indexing plate 5 preferably has two resiliently formed legs 12 provided with lugs 16 at their ends, and the stop 3 preferably has a plurality of radially disposed outer grooves 14, the lugs 16 engaging in the grooves 14. |
