<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the dropping of a manual tray caused by undesired rotating operation of an outer cover, in a case when the rotatable outer cover and the manual tray mountable and demountable by a single operation are mounted on an outer face of a main body case. <P>SOLUTION: The main body case 2 is provided with the outer cover 7 capable of closing and opening a paper conveying passage 10, and the manual tray 11 detachably locked to the main body case 2, on its outer face 6. The manual tray 11 comprises a shielding part 17 for covering an operation part 9 for opening and closing the outer cover 7. Whereby the user must take procedures for demounting the manual tray 11 from the main body case 2, and then rotating the outer cover 7 in the opening direction, when the outer cover 7 is opened in the opening direction to open the paper conveying passage 10 for removing the jammed paper. Accordingly the dropping of the manual tray 11 caused by the careless rotation of the outer cover 7 in the opening direction can be prevented in advance, when the jammed paper is removed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
