<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating method of an inflator treatment device capable of energy saving and downsizing of an exhaust gas treatment device by minimizing fuel consumption in heat treatment of an inflator incorporating a chemical for generating gas. <P>SOLUTION: The inflator treatment device heats and treats the inflator 1a of an air bag of a vehicle incorporating the chemical for generating gas at over a yield temperature of the chemical, and collects the metal case of the inflator 1a. A treatment furnace 2 of the inflator treatment device is connected with a hot gas generating furnace 3 and the exhaust gas treatment device 4 by hot gas ducts 5a, 5b. The hot gas duct 5b in the outlet side of the treatment furnace 2 is connected with the hot gas generating furnace 3 by a circulating gas duct 6. In the operating method of the inflator treatment device, a circulating amount of the exhaust gas is controlled by an inlet gas temperature in the treatment furnace 2, and a combustion amount of a burner 7 of the heat generating furnace 3 by an outlet gas temperature in the treatment furnace 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
