Crystalline poly-alpha-olefins such as polypropylene are stabilized with saccharine or its nitrogen-substituted derivatives such as 2-Me, 2-Et, 2- or 2-acetonyl saccharine. Anti-acid agents such as calcium stearate also may be present. The compositions find application as film, filament, yarn, tape, staple and as fibres which may be stretched. |
