The rear lights are ideally fitted with several light emitting diodes or with lamps divided into segments, which can be individually accessed. Data, such as the speed, the curvature of the driving path, the distance to the next vehicle or another object, are transmitted from the appropriate sensor to a control unit in order to adjust the segment or the group of segments regarding their activation and brightness as required by the situation.
