An expandable structure (10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110, 120, 130, 140, 150) which is expandable from a substantially flat configuration to an expanded elongate configuration wherein the structure has a first end (22) and a second end (24) and an axis extending between the first and second end, the expandable structure comprising a frame which comprises a plurality of interconnected resilient members (30, 34, 38, 42, 46) which extend from the first end (22) of the structure to the second end (24) of the structure, and wherein adjacent resilient members (32, 36, 40, 44, 48) extend around the axis of the structure in opposite directions. Preferably, the frame defines an aperture (28) in a wall of the structure. In a preferred embodiment, the structure is a shelter which is sized to allow a person to stand in the shelter. |
