The steel wires may be stranded, and fabric sheets 30 and 31 (Fig. 4, not shown), may also be employed as internal reinforcement. The rubber layer may be fixed to the metal sheet by staples 36 (Fig. 5, not shown), screws 33 (Fig. 4, not shown), glue, or by a thermal bonding process. The metal sheet may be of high conductivity, e.g. copper. |
