A screen setting method of a mobile communication terminal and a device thereof are provided to offer a preview screen in an image edition process for screen setting of the terminal so that users can easily conduct screen setting, thus an image edition error is reduced. A display(190) displays an image for screen setting of a mobile communication terminal(100). A screen setup information storage(130) stores screen setup information of the terminal. A key input unit(140) inputs a user's selection information for an image edition command and a type of a screen for the screen setting of the terminal. A controller(150) displays a preview area of the same size as the type of the selected screen based on the user's selection information on the type of the screen, and controls so that an image is edited within the preview area based on the user's selection information for the image edition command. An image processor(180) changes display information of the display under control of the controller.
