A gas separating apparatus is provided to realize the reduction of size, by using variable hollow fibers and variable external sleeve member to transform the apparatus and control the length of the apparatus. A gas separating apparatus comprises a plurality of hollow fibers(1) and an external sleeve member(3). The hollow fiber has a variable structure for separating nitrogen containing gas and oxygen containing gas. The external sleeve member has a variable structure for covering the plurality of hollow fibers. The external sleeve member has an opening, through which the oxygen containing gas separated by the plurality of hollow fibers is discharged.
