A device for effectively performing deinterleaving in a mobile communication system and a method are provided to carry out deinterleaving by using a minimum number of memories, thereby reducing gates in accordance with usage of wireless buffers. An address generator(490) applies a write address of the first-step deinterleaving generated by considering a transmission time section of the first-step deinterleaving to a write address of the second-step deinterleaving, with regards to data symbols of sequentially inputted physical channels. A memory(480) stores the data symbols according to the write address of the first-step deinterleaving under control of the address generator.
