A speaker device and a method for outputting sound are provided to obtain a sound image with diffusion property by radiating a sound wave from both ends of a pipe to the outside. A speaker device(100A) includes a base housing(101), a pipe(102), a magnetostrictive actuator(103), and a speaker unit(104). The base housing(101) has a shape of cylinder and an opening(105) in the center thereof. A predetermined number of leg parts are vertically erected in regular intervals. The pipe(102) is formed for performing as a sound vibration plate. The magnetostrictive actuator(103) has a driving rod(103a). The driving rod(103a) forms a delivering part which delivers a displacement output. The speaker unit(104) is a sound generation body using a coin-type actuator.
