Provided are an electrolyte for a photoelectric device, and a dye-sensitive solar cell using the electrolyte which is high in efficiency by improving open circuit voltage and fill factor. An electrolyte comprises a cyclic compound represented by the formula 1 and an oxidation-reduction derivative, wherein R1, R2, R3 and R4 are independently H, a substituted or unsubstituted C1-C30 alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C2-C30 alkenyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C2-C30 alkynyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1-C30 alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted C6-C30 arylalkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C6-C30 aryloxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1-C30 heteroalkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1-C30 heteroalkyoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted C2-C30 heteroaryloxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted C2-C30 heteroarylalkyl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted C3-C30 alkyloxy repeating unit group; X is an element having unshared electron pair; and n is an integer of 4-10.
