The invention relates to a machinery arrangement of a marine vessel, which machinery arrangement comprises an internal combustion engine (1), a heat recovery device (2) for recovering waste heat from the exhaust gas of the internal combustion engine (1), a scrubber unit (3) for scrubbing the exhaust gas, and a separate heating system (4) for producing heat.
