A planarizing apparatus for manufacturing a display device and a method for manufacturing a flexible display device by using the same are provided to correct the flexure of a flexible substrate, by planarizing the flexible substrate through a height controller. Transfer substrate supporting bars(140a,140b) are positioned at both sides within a jig body(160) to support a transfer substrate(100) inputted from the outside. A height controller(170) applies pressure to the transfer substrate to planarize the transfer substrate when the transfer substrate is inputted into the jig body. A lever(110) controls the height of the height controller. A metal bar is joined to an upper portion of the jig body.
