A charging system of a mobile phone charger and a method for operating the same are provided to perform a charging operation of the mobile phone charger only when a charge of a POS(Point Of Sales) system is indicated after inputting coins, thereby improving the efficiency of store management by preventing sale loss from being caused. A charging system of a mobile phone charger comprises the followings: a connecting unit(112) which is connected to POS(Point Of Sales) system(110) and the mobile phone charger by wire; a wire communication module(112a) which is connected to the POS system connected to the connecting unit; and a wire communication module(112c) and a control module(112b) which are connected to the mobile phone charger. The mobile phone is charged by connection of the mobile phone charger and the POS system installed in a store.
