An apparatus for depositing an organic layer is provided to uniformly deposit the organic layer on an overall organic deposition area by using a magnetic group for magnetically supporting an overall area of a mask. An apparatus(500) for depositing an organic layer includes a mask(302), a magnetic group(504), and a magnetic group support/fixing unit(306). The mask forms a light emitting layer on one of two electrodes which are formed on a substrate. The magnetic group magnetically supports an overall area of the mask. The magnetic group supporting/fixing unit supports and fixes the magnetic group. The mask is mounted on a lower surface toward a bottom surface. The magnetic group is arranged on the mask. The magnetic group supporting/fixing unit is arranged on the magnetic group. A buffer unit is arranged between the magnetic group and the substrate.
