A transmitting/receiving apparatus and method of a mobile terminal supporting multi-band are provided to enhance receive sensitivity by preventing a signal loss which is generated when the first communication mode signal is received unnecessarily through a duplexer. The first antenna(100) transmits the first communication mode signal and transmits/receives the second communication mode signal. The second antenna(108) receives the first communication mode signal. A modem unit operates the first and second antennas in the first communication mode and operates only the first antenna in the second communication mode. The first communication mode is a WCDMA(Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) communication mode and the second communication mode is a GSM(Global System for Mobile Telecommunication) mode.
