A method and a system for providing a star search service are provided to offer an astrophotography to a mobile terminal of a user by finding a star or constellation, offer the zoom-in/out and moved astrophotography, and offer the astrophotography corresponding to a location of the user. The mobile terminal(110) sets up condition information including the star, constellation, or location information, receives astrophotography data, transmits an update request signal if the user inputs a zoom-in/out or moving command inputs. The mobile terminal generates/updates the location information by including a GPS(Global Positioning System) module and an electronic compass module, and receives the astrophotography data by setting the location information to the condition information. A star search server(150) stores/classifies the astrophotography data into each star, constellation, and location information, transmits the astrophotography data corresponding to the condition information to the mobile terminal. An astronomical observatory server(160) periodically transmits the astrophotography to the star search server. |
