A method for steel production consists in charging of charge materials, their melting, oxidation of admixture with the oxygen, introducing of carbonaceous material. Highly metamorphized anthracite of fraction to 5.0 mm is used as carbonaceous material, vitrinite reflection index of which is of 4.00-5.50 %. Carbonaceous material is discretely introduced in the periods of melting and oxidation by blowing.
