A composition of water soluble metal working fluid using the distilled residue obtained in producing biodiesel is provided to utilize the biodiesel-distilled residue with excellent biodegradability and lubricating ability, and low ecological toxicity as the active component. A composition of water soluble metal working fluid is produced by mixing 20~95wt.% of the distilled residue obtained in producing biodiesel, 0~40wt.% of ion exchange water, and 5~70wt.% of an additive. The additive is at least one selected from a group comprising petroleum hydrocarbon, vegetable oil, and composite ester. The petroleum hydrocarbon is refined mineral oil with 5~1000cST represented at the kinematic viscosity of 40°C. The distilled residue of the biodiesel is produced from the rapeseed oil, soybean oil, and palm oil.
