A method for destruction of depreciated lining of metallurgical unit and containers involves power pulse impact at the lining. The pulse is produced by the vapour, which is formed during the interaction of high-speed discrete liquid jet with the lining, which has the temperature of more than 100 DEGREE C, at that the liquid jet pressure is chosen in the range between 10 and 200MPa.
