DECODER AND DECODING METHOD

A decoder and a decoding method are provided to perform decoding in a coherent method by correcting a reception signal based on the measured result to a wireless channel. A decoding method includes the steps of; receiving the QPSK modulated signal(S100); compensating by applying the channel estimation result about the pilot signal to the received signal(S200); operating the sub carrier demodulation to obtain the correlated metrics about the received signal(S400); and performing the decoding using the decoding metrics from the correlated metrics(S500).
