VIDEO TRANSMISSION METHOD USING IMAGE COMMUNICATIONS OF MOBILE TERMINAL

A method for transmitting a video using image communication function of a portable terminal is provided to transmit automatically video data stored in the portable terminal and video data of a video server connected to a communication base station to an opposite party terminal when one side portable terminal is switched to a hold mode while performing video communication, thereby preventing communication resources from being wasted. A method for transmitting a video using image communication function of a portable terminal comprises the following steps of: indicating transmission stop of a video inputted from a camera of a transmission side portable terminal while performing video communication; determining whether video data about an opposite party portable terminal is registered; connecting the transmission side portable terminal in which at least one video data is stored to an external server; and transmitting video data of the connected external server to the transmission side portable terminal or the opposite party portable terminal.
