A gas discharge device of a cover for a liquid container is provided to prevent foreign materials from flowing in through a hole by finely stretching an elastic rubber tube in discharging the gas and returning the elastic rubber tube to the original state after the gas is exhausted. A cover(1) for a liquid container(5) is composed of: a gas outflow hole(101) formed in the center; a support tool(2) forcibly fitted to a fixed protruded ring(1a) formed inside so as to fix a gas discharge pipe(3); and a screw(102) thread-combined to a screw(501) of an opening of the liquid container. In the gas discharge device of the cover, the upper end of the gas discharge pipe is closed up and a hole(301) for exhausting the gas is formed on the lateral side. An elastic rubber tube(4) having an opened upside is closely fitted to the gas discharge pipe.
