FIELD: electrical engineering; circuit-opening devices for overload and short-circuit protection of direct-current power installations and lines. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed circuit breaker has movable and fixed contacts, disconnecting spring, trip-free spring, magnetic core with coil, main armature, trip-free armature, and control rods. Novelty is that magnetic core is built of two U-shaped opposing parts coupled through their lateral sides with plug connectors. Circuit breaker can be provided with single-arm lever one of whose ends is mounted on main-armature axis and other one, connected to control rod coupled with trip-free armature; movable contact is connected through control rod to bottom part of single-arm lever. ^ EFFECT: reduced size, facilitated maintenance in operation. ^ 2 cl, 4 dwg |
