摘要 A self-control moving robot and a control method for the same are provided to reduce costs by eliminating the necessity of using a device for sensing a target movement point. A self-control moving robot(100) includes a light emitting unit(111), a position coordinate calculation unit(112), and a driving unit(113). The light emitting unit is arranged on one side of a movable main body, and emits light to a target movement point in accordance with the control of a user. The position coordinate calculation unit calculates coordinates of the target movement point based on the distance between the main body and the optical point where light is emitted. The driving unit moves the main body in accordance with the coordinates calculated by the position coordinate calculation unit.
