FIELD: manufacture of weapon such as blades, swords, knifes and so on, manufacture of tools for working different materials such as leather, plastics, wood. ^ SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of degreasing plates of different kinds of steel formed by mechanical working and assembling them to stack at alternation; compressing stack in attachment whose constructional members have different factors of linear expansion; placing attachment of stack of plates into furnace for producing monolithic blank by diffusion welding in non-oxidizing medium while performing two isothermal soaking procedures. Then prepared monolithic blank is subjected to free forging. ^ EFFECT: enhanced quality of welding monolithic blank of damask steel regardless of chemical content of steel of welded plates. ^ 1 dwg |
