A system for machining edges of a work is provided to perform edge machining at the state where a protrusion of the work from a table is ensured in correspondence to any variation of the size and vertical to horizontal ratio of the work. A system for machining edge of a work includes a base(1) with a swirling unit(2), a table(8), and a grinding stone mounted on both sides of the table. The table includes a center plate(9) supported by the swirling unit, and a pair of side plates(10) divided to each side of the grinding stone. The system further includes a width determination unit(6) for allowing the side plates to get closer to or apart from each other about the center plate interposed between the side plates. The grinding stone includes a side grinding stone for grinding side surfaces of the work, and a corner grinding stone arranged in front and rear of the side grinding stone. The side grinding stone and the corner grinding stone are fixed at a single stone shaft.
