A monitoring image service system using a DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) mobile communication terminal and a method therefor are provided to allow a user to know conditions of a personal space of the user in real time in a desired space and time by allowing the DMB mobile communication terminal to receive image data photographed from a camera installed in the personal space of the user. A DMB mobile communication terminal(100) has a DMB module(100a) for receiving DMB. When a user channel service mode is entered, the DMB mobile communication terminal(100) provides intrinsic identifier information of the DMB module(100a) and the DMB mobile communication terminal(100). At least one or more cameras(145) registered in the intrinsic identifier information of the DMB mobile communication terminal(100) are registered in a monitoring server(140). The monitoring server(140) provides image data photographed in the cameras(145) to a mobile communication system on the basis of the intrinsic identifier information. A DMB service server(130) assigns a user channel to the DMB mobile communication terminal(100) by using the intrinsic identifier information of the DMB module(100a). The DMB service server(130) requests image data from the monitoring server(140) through the mobile communication system by using the intrinsic identifier information of the DMB mobile communication terminal(100), and provides the image data received from the monitoring server(140) to the DMB mobile communication terminal(100) through the assigned user channel.
