An air conditioner for communication equipment and a controlling method thereof are provided to properly use natural cool air in accordance with outside temperature as reducing noise and size of an indoor unit and an outdoor unit, thereby minimizing power consumption. An indoor unit module(100) comprises as follows. The first indoor heat exchanger(110) is embedded with a heat exchanging tube(111), and is installed in a brine pipe(120). An expansion valve(130) is installed on a refrigerant pipe(140). The second indoor heat exchanger(150) connects the refrigerant pipe(140) with the tube. A compressor(160) compresses a refrigerant passing through the second exchanger. An indoor ventilator(170) is adjacent to the first and second exchangers(110,150). An outdoor unit module(200) comprises a brine pump(220), the first outdoor heat exchanger(210), the second outdoor heat exchanger(230), and an outdoor ventilator(240).
