WIDEBAND LOG-PERIODIC DIPOLE ARRAY ANTENNA

A wideband log-periodic dipole array antenna is provided to obtain a high gain in a wide resonance frequency band and to prevent distortion of a radiation pattern due to a broadband characteristic through the impedance matching by feeding signals to first and second radiating elements on both surfaces of a dielectric substrate. A wideband log-periodic dipole array antenna(200) includes a dielectric substrate(210), at least one radiating element(220), and a transmission line(230). The radiating elements are arranged on both surfaces of the dielectric substrate. The radiating element is defined by a log-scale period containing a dielectric constant of the dielectric substrate and a spacing parameter. The transmission line is arranged in the middle of the radiating element. The radiating element includes first and second radiating devices(300,310). The length of the first radiating device is divided into halves on one side surface of the dielectric substrate. The second radiating device is arranged to be symmetrical with respect to the first radiating device.
