A single gap transflective fringe field switching display is provided to facilitate release of static electricity by forming a polymer resin of an uneven shape only on a reflective area of a lower substrate and forming a reflective electrode of an uneven shape through the patterning of the reflective electrode on the polymer resin. An upper substrate is placed under an upper polarization panel(1). A common electrode(3) having a plane shape is placed under the upper substrate and includes a transmissive electrode placed at a lower side. An insulating layer is placed between the common electrode and a pixel electrode. The pixel electrode(5), which is a transparent electrode having a lattice shape, has a width ranging from 1 to 4 mum under the insulating layer, and an interval between the pixel electrode parts ranging from 1 to 6 mum. A liquid crystal layer(6) is arranged horizontally under the upper pixel electrode. A QWP(Quarter Wave Plate) is placed under a lower substrate. A lower polarizer panel(14) is under the QWP. A built-in phase shifter(7) is placed under the horizontally arranged liquid crystal layer. A color filter layer(9) is placed under the built-in phase shifter. A polymer resin layer(11) has an uneven shape, and is placed on the lower substrate of a reflective area. A reflective electrode(10) has an uneven structure and is placedon the polymer resin layer of the reflective area. |
