A light emitting diode and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce a size of a vessel region by decreasing a distance between respective lines in a wiring unit. A light emitting diode(50) includes a light emitting unit, which includes a cathode electrode, at least one charge injection/transport layer, and an organic light emitting layer. The light emitting unit and an anode common electrode are sequentially laminated to form a pixel circuit unit(54). A driving unit(56) is formed at a region on an a-Si(Amorphous Silicon) substrate(52) which is adjacent to the pixel circuit unit. A data line unit(D) is connected to the cathode electrode of the pixel circuit unit. The data line unit applies a data signal to the pixel circuit unit. A scan line unit is connected to the anode common electrode of the pixel circuit unit and applies a scan signal to the pixel circuit unit.
