The box (1) has a magnetic field variation control part (2) movable between an end position corresponding to the setting of a heat engine to a slow pace and another end position corresponding to maximal acceleration of the engine. The part cooperates with a Hall-effect sensor. The magnetic field variations are used for actuating a speed control unit. Manual controls act on the position of the part to vary the engine speed.
