A method for transmitting a pilot signal for a multiple carrier system is provided to perform an accurate channel estimation by transmitting CQ(Channel Quality) pilots by a lot of UE(User equipment). A method for transmitting pilot for a multiple carrier system includes the steps of: transmitting a first pilot for measuring a channel quality and a second pilot for a data modulation to a base station by at least one mobile station, multiplexing the first and second pilots transmitted by at least one mobile station by a code division method to be transmitted, and transmitting the first pilot and the second pilot to be transmitted by a specific mobile station by differentiating the transmission power of the first and second pilots; and transmitting the data to the base station by at least one mobile station according to the first pilot and the second pilot.
