CONTENT DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM, PORTABLE TERMINAL PROVIDED WITH UIM CARD, PROGRAM, AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content distribution system and the like for executing encoding/decoding processing and contract terminal authentication supporting digital content in a multi-format which uses a UIM card so as to improve safety and convenience of digital content distribution.

SOLUTION: The portable terminal 107 provided with the UIM card 220 is provided with a transmission and reception means 121 for receiving encoded digital content data 111 which are distributed by a content server 101 and are encoded via an encoder 103 and transmitting the encoded digital content 111 obtained by encoding input data. The UIM card 220 is provided with an authentication means 122 for authenticating authentication information 228, contract use information 229, and a contract terminal and an encoding/decoding means 123 for encoding/decoding the encoded digital content data 111. Thus, the digital content 110 are reproduced and managed.
