<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strap for Shamisen (three-stringed musical instrument) performance that can lighten the load placed on one's back and the shoulder. <P>SOLUTION: The strap 8 has a strap-body contact part 10, coming into contact with the back, neck periphery, and other body parts, comprising of synthetic fiber layers 14, made of synthetic fiber and a rubber plate layer 15 made of a rubber plate. In this case, the strap-body contact part 10 is set in a sandwich structure, having the synthetic fiber layers 14 and 14 arranged on both the top and the reverse surfaces of the rubber plate layer 15. This structure can lighten the load placed on the back and the shoulder of a player of the samisen. The synthetic fiber layers 14 impart soft feeling to the player 14, and the load is placed on the rubber plate layer 15, which has elasticity and absorbs shocks.
