SIDE SEAL FOR DEVELOPING ROLLER

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain satisfactory sealing performance by preventing position deviation of sealing members on a developing roller. SOLUTION: The side seals for the developing roller comprise the two sealing members 20 which are supported in a case 12 of a developing unit 10 and are respectively brought into sliding contact with the outer peripheral surface of the developing roller 16 by rotation at both ends in the axial direction of the developing roller 16 for conveying the toner to the position opposite to a photoreceptor 16, and an elastic sheet-like member 24 for energizing the sealing members 20 to the developing roller 16. The sealing members 20 are fixed to the case 12 at an upstream side end with respect to the rotating direction of the developing roller 16 and a plurality of notches 30 parallel to the axial direction of the developing roller 16 are formed on the back face thereof so as to line up in the circumferential direction of the developing roller 16.
