PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus, method and program capable of acquiring biological information depending on a communication opposite party, and to provide a communication system using the same. SOLUTION: A user operates an input operation section 11 to activate a control section 10, which controls operations of a wireless communication section 30 and an antenna 31. Thus, the user can make a conversation with the communication opposite party and transmit/receive information with respect to electronic mail to/from the communication opposite party. When the user uses the input operation section 11 of a mobile phone 100 to make operations related to communication to the communication opposite party (speech opposite party) or the user makes a communication with the communication opposite party by using the wireless communication section 30 and the antenna 31, the control section 10 controls a physiological amount data measurement section 20, that is, electrodes 20a, 20d, a thermistor 20b, and a photosensor 20c so as to detect biological information of the user.
