PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present guidance information, such that a user can easily understand a distance from a guidance point visually and sensuously. SOLUTION: A route connecting to a destination, which is determined by a user's assignment or the like, is searched, and the movement speed of a mobile object is detected, and furthermore, the guidance point included in a guidance route acquired from above route searching, the guidance information about the guidance point and the current position of the mobile object are displayed. In a display operation during the route guidance, a current position indicator, representing the current position of the mobile object, is displayed on a fixed position in a display screen. Furthermore, a movement indicator is displayed, which moves relative to the current position indicator, and a guidance information indicator is displayed at a position corresponding to the guidance point on the movement indicator. The movement indicator is a disk-like or linear indicator for example, and its rotation or drift speed is varied, according to the movement speed of the mobile object. Moreover, the guidance information indicator is displayed at a position, corresponding to the guidance point on the movement indicator.
