Disclosed is an automatic calculation method implemented in a management information system for determining a justification pattern defining an association of a sequence of pages (7) of a publication with fields of a sheet into which the sheet is arranged line by line and column by column based on a fold sequence in order to produce a publication, said fold sequence defining the sequence of the pages (7) in the publication associated with the fields. In order to make it simpler to determine a new justification pattern, first a possible arrangement of the sheet is selected from a list of line-by-line and column-by-column arrangements of the sheet based on a size of the sheet and net sizes of the pages (7), whereupon a fold sequence associated with said arrangement is selected, and finally the justification pattern is determined based on the selected fold sequence and the sequence of the pages (7) in the publication. |
