<p>A device and a method for DRM(Digital Rights Management) are provided to safely/effectively distribute and manage large contents in a wireless environment by using a public key mode having an excellent encryption ability in a desktop environment having enough system resources and using a fast symmetric key algorithm in the wireless environment. A PC(21) enables a user to search or buy the contents through a web server(22), and transfers the downloaded contents to a mobile terminal(25). A DRM server(23) registers the mobile terminal of the user, and generates and issues a license of the contents by using user information. A provider server(24) makes the DRM server authenticate the user and share a symmetric key, and authenticates the user and registers use of a DRM system by responding to a request of the DRM server in a mobile terminal registration process. The mobile phone receives the contents from the PC and issues the license through the provider server by using the symmetric key algorithm.</p> |
