<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cyclic AMP (adenosine 5'-monophosphate) phosphodiesterase inhibitor through finding a cyclic AMP phosphodiesterase-inhibitory substance inhibiting platelet coagulation from naturally-occurring substances. <P>SOLUTION: The cyclic AMP phosphodiesterase inhibitor is provided, utilizing the fact that extract obtained by subjecting the following natural plants to extraction treatment with water, a hydrophilic organic solvent or a mixture thereof has cyclic AMP phosphodiesterase-inhibitory activity.
