<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having a small risk of supply of a developer which is not suitably used to a process unit. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 comprises the process unit 10 equipped with a first storage device 17 for storing kind information regarding the kind of a developer to be supplied, a developer cartridge 20 equipped with a second storage device 24 storing kind information regarding the kind of a charged developer, and a control means 40 for collating the kind information stored in the first storage device 17 with the kind information stored in the second storage device 24 and allowing the developer to be supplied from the developer cartridge 20 to the process unit 10 only when the kind of the developer to be supplied to the process unit 10 matches the kind of the developer charged in the developer cartridge 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
