<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular power supply device capable of maintaining a normal operation, even when a target operation point of a motor cannot be properly detected. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle 100 includes a motor generator MG and an inverter 14 which drives the motor generator MG. The vehicular power supply device includes a battery B as a power storing device, a boosting converter 12 which boosts the voltage of the power storing device to supply it to the inverter, and a controller 30 which instructs a boosting voltage target value corresponding to the target operation state of the motor generator MG relative to the boosting converter 12. The controller 30 increases the boosting voltage target value up to the maximum value, when the controller decides that the current operation state signal of the motor generator MG is not normal. Favorably, the vehicle 100 furthermore includes a resolver 20 which detects the number of rotation of a rotor of the motor generator MG.
