<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device which can prevent brightness unevenness from occurring, and a liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: A lighting device 21 comprises a plurality of light emitting elements T connected in series; a plurality of current bypass elements U connected in parallel to the light emitting elements T respectively; and a constant current source 25 which are connected in series to the plurality of light emitting elements T, and supplies a constant current to the plurality of light emitting elements T. A current bypass element U changes from a non-conducting state to a conducting state when a light emitting element T connected in parallel to the current bypass element U changes from a conducting state, where a current flows to a non-conducting state where a current does not flow. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
