PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent display device further provided with an adhesive and a reinforcing material in addition to a sealing material, and high in impact resistance; and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: This organic electroluminescent display device includes: a first substrate including a pixel region in which at least one organic light emitting element composed of a first electrode, an organic layer and a second electrode formed, and a non-pixel region formed in the outer periphery of the pixel region; a second substrate attached to one region of the first substrate including the pixel region; the frit disposed between the non-pixel region of the first substrate and the second substrate for attaching the first and second substrates to each other; an adhesive applied to be spaced along a peripheral region of the frit, and including at least two discontinuous portions; and the reinforcing member disposed between the frit and the adhesive.
