PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device operation method capable of achieving appropriate recording/reproducing than before even with an optical disk having warpage generated in a radial direction. SOLUTION: In S12, test-recording is performed in an inner peripheral part without changing the radial tilt amount of an objective lens. In S13, the test-record is reproduced while changing the radial tilt amount of the objective lens to obtain an inner peripheral side radial tilt amount where jitter components are reduced. In S16, test-recording is performed in the outer peripheral part of the optical disk without changing the radial tilt amount of the objective lens. In S17, the outer peripheral radial tilt value of the objective lens where jitter components are reduced is obtained while changing the radial tilt amount of the objective lens, and during recording/reproducing in an optical disk, the radial tilt amount of the objective lens is interpolated according to the inner and outer peripheral radial tilt values and an optical pickup position of each time.
