PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens moving apparatus capable of reducing vibration (hunting motion) arising due to the movement of a bearing part in a conventional manner, and capable of reducing noise due to the vibration. SOLUTION: The lens moving apparatus is composed of a lens holding frame 12, a guide shaft 31, a motor 21, a lead screw, a rack 23, and a compression coil spring 33. The lens holding frame 12 holds the lens 11, and includes a guide shaft bearing part 121. The guide shaft 31 is inserted into the guide shaft bearing part 121 so as to slidably hold the lens holding frame 12. A driving means constituted of the motor 21, the lead screw and the rack 23 drives the lens holding frame 12 along the guide shaft 31. The compression coil spring 33 functions as a contact state holding means for holding the contact state of the guide shaft bearing part 121 and the guide shaft 31 nearly constant when the lens holding frame 12 moves along the guide shaft 31.
